I name chairs after my friends or family members. Sometimes the chair reminds me of a particular person, sometimes a person is on my mind while I’m making the chair, and sometimes it’s a chance to pay homage to someone I admire or to tell someone I love them. On occasion I will pick a person and design a chair to represent them.
